First sculpted in 1977 and barely seen since, the Square Corpse Zombie has clawed its way back from the dead. This adult overhead mask from the Classic Zagone Studios Collection revives the original sculpt by comic book artist Michael Saenz. It is a cracked, block-patterned skull face webbed with sickly green growths, with bared teeth and shaggy orange-red hair.
The original mask had very limited distribution. A partnership between Trick or Treat Studios and Zagone Studios now brings this vintage design back. Like every mask in the Classic Zagone Collection, it is described as comfortable to wear with good visibility.
Halloween parties, haunted house nights and zombie-themed events are all good fits. It also suits collectors of vintage horror masks who want a piece of mask-making history on the shelf.
